Skills, expertise and experience:

Mazen Mroué has over 25 years of senior and executive management experience in Telecommunications, Information Technology, and Digital Services across diverse markets in Africa and the Middle East. He currently holds a dual role within the MTN Group.

As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MTN Group Digital Infrastructure, he leads the Mobility and Fibre businesses while driving the execution of MTN’s Data Centre strategy. Additionally, as the Group Chief Technology and Information Officer (GCTIO), he oversees MTN’s technology strategy, governance, and implementation across its operations. Since joining MTN in 1998, Mazen has held several senior leadership roles within the Group’s regional operations, including CEO and COO positions in multiple operating companies. He also serves as a board member for various companies within the MTN Group.

Mazen holds a Master’s degree in Engineering, Intellectual Systems and Networks. He is also certified in Leadership Development and Executive Finance from Harvard Business School and INSEAD respectively.
